Jindřich Marek

Jindřich Marek is an associate professor at the Institute of Information Studies and Librarianship. He served as co-PI in the Knihověda.cz project (NAKI II program, 2016-2020).

His long-term research focuses on manuscript book culture in the Czech lands during the Medieval and Early Modern periods.

He is also interested in digital humanities, particularly in relation to cultural history.

He has authored numerous journal studies and book chapters, and co-authored several catalogs of medieval manuscripts. He wrote a monograph about an important figure of the late medieval Prague University – „Václav Koranda mladší: utrakvistický administrátor a literát“ (Prague 2017) and contributed a chapter on book culture during 1419-1471 to the comprehensive synthesis „Knižní kultura českého středověku“ (Prague 2020).
